Go to (T Shirt) Hell

January 26th, 2009

Websites come, websites go, and some websites make more noise in the proccess than others.  Tshirt Hell is a site I’ve visited reguarly since the millenium was young and we’d recovered from the Y2K fears, but it seems it is no more.

I’m done. I’m finished. I can’t take the stupidity anymore, so I’m leaving and I’m taking my website with me. As of Tuesday, Feb 10, 2009, T-Shirt Hell will be no more.  (TechCrunch)

While the site has made me laugh many a time, T Shirt Hell thrived among those that like to give our politically correct society the finger.  Some of their shirts appealed to the sick humored, while others were down right insulting to miniorities, foreginers or anyone that had recently made the news.

T Shirt hell stood out from the crowd, and so did their shirts.  I won’t forget seeing a teenager walking down the street wearing their “a thousand of my potential children died on your daughters face last night” shirt, and in closing, they are doing it their way too.

There’s no takeover, there’s no closing sale or link to follow if you’re interested in the business, it’s lights out, and although Feburary 10 is supposed to be the day that hell freezes over, as of today, the site is offline.

Attention any venture capitalists or independent investors/business assholes who are about to inquire about purchasing T-Shirt Hell. Don’t. You won’t do the company justice and I won’t take that chance. I’m putting it to sleep. It’s over.
Sunshine Megatron is closing the doors on T Shirt Hell, but I get the feeling this story is not over.
